Cardiff
Council’s Emergency Management Team reported no further calls overnight, with
only one incident involving a fallen tree on Maes-Y-Coed Road in Heath.
Today's
weather forecast is more favourable, with significantly lower wind speeds and
light rain expected. However, a yellow weather warning for wind remains in
effect until 6pm this evening.
Fallen
Trees Approximately 150 trees have
fallen during the storm. Of these, 100 have been made safe, while the remaining
50 trees, which fell in parkland and pose no danger to the public, will be
addressed at a later date. Tree surgeons will continue their work this morning
to clear the trees made safe across the city yesterday.

Services Our focus remains on essential
services, including Social Services, Housing (including homelessness
provision), Meals on Wheels, Telecare, Highways, and Harbour Authority, as we
move into the recovery stage of the storm.
River
Levels It has been confirmed that the
River Taff flood alert has now been removed, and the flood alerts for the Ely
River and the Rhymney River were removed last night.

Work
will continue this morning to ensure that all remaining trees that fell on the
highway or posed a danger to the public are cleared, and the remaining road
closures are lifted.
