Cardiff's Bereavement Services team have won an award recognising public service excellence, and a coveted Cemetery of the Year award - both for the third time.
The team won Best Service Team of the Year in the Cemetery and Crematorium category of the annual APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) awards, celebrating the very best in local government frontline services across the UK.
In a sperate award, Thornhill Cemetery was named Cemetery of the Year 2022, in the large burial ground category.
Cabinet Member with responsibility for Bereavement Services, Cllr Dan De'Ath, said: "Our Bereavement Services team take genuine pride in providing the best possible service at what can be an incredibly difficult time of people's lives. Winning these two awards, not just once, but for the third time, is testament to their ongoing commitment, professionalism and hard work."
The team previously won the awards in 2016 and 2019.
