Cardiff Council is currently issuing its 2022/2023 annual Business Rating bills and changes have been made to the application process this year.

In previous years certain retail, leisure and hospitality properties have benefited from receiving 100% Rate Relief to mitigate the effects Covid 19 has had on their businesses.

From 1^stApril 2022 the Welsh Government has reduced the level of relief to qualifying businesses to 50% and ratepayers will now have to apply for this relief through the council's website. The maximum amount of relief that can be claimed by each business is capped at £110,000.
