National coronavirus fire-break to be introduced in Wales on Friday
The fire-break will start at 6pm on Friday 23 October and end on Monday 9 November. It will apply to everyone living in Wales and will replace the local restrictions which are in force in some parts of the country.

Cardiff West Community High School
A positive COVID-19 case of a member of staff has been confirmed at Cardiff West Community High School. Nine Key Stage 3 pupils and two members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Cathays High School
Two positives COVID-19 cases of Year 8 pupils has been confirmed at Cathays High School. 168 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case. No staff members need to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.
Mary Immaculate RC High School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 10 pupil has been confirmed at Mary Immaculate RC High School. 125 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. One member of staff has been advised to self-isolate as a precaution while a full assessment is undertaken.
Whitchurch High School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 9 pupil has been confirmed at Whitchurch High School. 32 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. No staff members need to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.
Willows High School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 11 pupil has been confirmed at Willows High School. 31 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. No staff members need to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.
Bryn Hafod Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a member of staff in the morning nursery has been confirmed at Bryn Hafod School. 28 children in the morning nursery and three members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. 12 afternoon nursery children will return after half-term, due to staff having to self-isolate.
Creigiau Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 5 pupil has been confirmed at Creigiau Primary School. 26 pupils and one member of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Danescourt Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 2 pupil has been confirmed at Danescourt Primary School. 61 pupils and seven members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Pencaerau Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a member of staff has been confirmed at Pencaerau Primary School. 30 Year 5 pupils and four members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Radyr Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 4 pupil has been confirmed at Radyr Primary School. 58 pupils and one member of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Stacey Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a member of staff has been confirmed at Stacey Primary School. 26 Year 2 pupils and the member of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
St Cadocs RC Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a pupil in a Year 5/6 class has been confirmed at St Cadocs RC Primary School. 31 pupils and two members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
St Mary the Virgin CIW Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 5 pupil has been confirmed at St Mary the Virgin CIW Primary School. 28 pupils and three members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
St Philip Evans RC Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 1 pupil has been confirmed at St Philip Evans RC Primary School. 46 pupils and one member of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Thornhill Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a Year 1 pupil has been confirmed at Thornhill Primary School. 59 pupils and four members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.
Willowbrook Primary School
A positive COVID-19 case of a member of staff has been confirmed at Willowbrook Primary School. 60 pupils and five members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate while contact tracing is undertaken. Those identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case will be contacted in due course, with advice to self-isolate for 14 days.
