Cardiff Pedal Power Ride For All
After the resounding success of Cardiff Car Free Day last month where thousands of people enjoyed the freedom of cycling through a car-less city centre; we are now looking forward to another great cycling event, Pedal Power's ‘Ride For All'.

Ride for All means just that - a cycle ride which includes everyone, all abilities and all ages where you are invited to saddle up and join Pedal Power to show support for inclusive cycling on Saturday 8thJune.

The ride will take in iconic landmarks of Cardiff including City Hall, Cardiff Castle, Callaghan Square, Wales Millennium Centre, the Senedd and Cardiff Bay Barrage and is divided into three routes. Route A. is 1.5 miles and takes you from City Hall to Cardiff Castle, finishing at Cardiff Pedal Power in Pontcanna. Route B. is 2.5 miles and follows route A until Cardiff Castle, then heads to Cardiff Bay and the Senedd. This is the start of Route C. where people can join or leave the ride to go on around the Barrage using the Taff Trail back to Pedal Power in Pontcanna for the full 9 mile route at about 4pm.

Cllr Caro Wild, Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning and Transport at Cardiff Council said: "Cardiff Pedal Power Ride For All is a great event from a unique organisation that supports the council's ambition to become the UK's leading cycling city.

"Cycling in Cardiff is going from strength to strength. We are about to double the fleet of nextbikes, construction is underway on a network of Cycleways, and more school-pupils are receiving cycling sessions.

"Pedal Power are one of Cardiff's most-loved institutions, improving people's lives in many ways on a daily basis.I hope as many people as possible join in Pedal Power's Ride For All on 8 June to enjoy the benefits of cycling for a great cause"

We believe that cycling should include everyone and we want to make sure people know Pedal Power is here making that possible - the perfect way to start National Bike week! The more people who join in on the day the better but our pedal 4 pedal power challenge means the whole of June is an opportunity to show your support by cycling and raising funds."
