Supported by investment from Cardiff Council and the Development Bank for Wales, Digital Profile has built the next generation of its careers platform.

Founder of Digital Profile, Dan Lewis, said: "Today's world is instant. Individuals want everything quickly and efficiently. Digital Profile is a new careers platform changing how people search, progress and upskill in the world of work."

Through its Cardiff Commitment initiative, Cardiff Council has worked with Digital Profile to develop the product to include features for schools and colleges in the city. It is also now available to youth groups supporting young people to access the world of work.

Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council, and Cabinet Member for Education, Employment and Skills, Cllr Sarah Merry, said: "The Cardiff Commitment is creating strong links between our schools and employers. This means we can ensure that Cardiff's children and young people have the best opportunity to develop the type of skills employers in the city and the wider region are looking for, so they can take full advantage of our burgeoning local economy.

"Digital Profile provides a safe and secure community, in which pupils and students, schools and colleges, businesses and organisations can connect and interact. This straightforward, direct communication has brought a powerful online dimension to the Cardiff Commitment."

Over 80 employers have pledged their support for the Cardiff Commitment so far, across sectors that include: finance, engineering, media, creative arts, information technology, architecture, sport, hospitality, retail, construction, manufacturing, education, training and environment.

Cabinet Member for Investment and Development, Cllr Russell Goodway, said: "We're pleased to have joined with the Development Bank of Wales in making an investment in Digital Profile.

"The launch of the next generation Digital Profile demonstrates the strong base of digital skills we have in the City Region and the role of the Tramshed Tech in Grangetown in nurturing digital skills."

Welsh Rugby Union Regional Rugby Manager, Ben Rose, said: "By working with Cardiff Commitment we will inspire the next generation of young people to engage in rugby and its business through a variety of fit for purpose offers, giving them a positive pathway through life."

General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff, said:  "It is essential to ensure we reach the young population of Cardiff by making hospitality a really attractive career prospect. The Cardiff Commitment and Digital Profile deliver the opportunities for us to showcase the industry, and to work really closely with the education sector in the city."

Warrant Officer Steve Perham, from the RAF's Specialist Engagement Team, said: "The Royal Air Force is delighted to be in partnership with Cardiff Commitment and the Digital Profile. We are hugely excited at how Digital Profile will allow us to connect young people and talented individuals from across Cardiff and beyond to the full range of opportunities within the world of work."

For the individual, Digital Profile means they can share their experience, qualifications and skills directly with employers. Businesses are able to offer employment and apprenticeship opportunities, without the need for a third party. While schools and colleges have a way of creating direct links with major employers, enriching the curriculum enrichment and giving an insight into the variety of jobs the city has to offer.

Dan Lewis added: "We provide links between multiple sectors in the world of careers, allowing opportunities to flow through different channels to target the right audience. Our mission is to help over 5 million people in the first 3 years progress their career."
