Update on schools affected by COVID-19: 21stOctober 2020

Ysgol Gyfun Plasmawr

A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Ysgol Plasmawr. 65 Year 11 pupils have been identified as close contacts of the confirmed case and advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days. No staff are required to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.

Ysgol Y Berllan Deg
Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Ysgol Y Berllan Deg. 56 Year 1 pupils and 56 Year 4 pupils as well as 4 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.  

Howardian Primary School

A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Howardian Primary School. 61 Year 4 pupils and 6 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.  

Cardiff High School

Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Cardiff High School. 52 Year 13 pupils and 32 Year 12 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. No staff members need to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.

Danescourt Primary School

A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Danescourt Primary School. 52 Reception pupils and 7 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.  

Albany Primary School

A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Albany Primary School. 27 Reception pupils and 3 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.  

St Joseph's RC Primary School
Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Josephs RC Primary School. 59 pupils from Years 2 and 4 and 4 members of staff have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case.  

St Teilo's CW High School

A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at St Teilo's CW High School. 50 Year 8 pupils have been advised by Public Health Wales to self-isolate for 14 days after they were identified as close contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 case. No staff members need to self-isolate due to social distancing measures in place.
