GladstonePrimary Schoolhas reached the finals of the Urdd Eisteddfod in the Welsh Learners Recitation category.

The group of Year Six pupils from the English medium primary school in Cathays will now perform their piece‘Rap Rheolau'(meaning ‘The Rules Rap') by Aled Richards, at the final on 28^thMay 2019, after getting through two preliminary rounds.

All non-Welsh speakers, the children aged 10 and 11, have been supported by Year Six children from Ysgol Mynydd Bychan who have assisted them throughout rehearsals, helping them with pronunciation, actions and improving their Welsh language skills.

Gladstone Primary School Year six teacher, Miss Sue Watson said: "We are all thrilled to get through to the finals and we are grateful to the children and staff at Ysgol Mynydd Bychan for their time and support during the preparations.

"This has been a great partnership between both schools and to get through to the next stage shows how hard the children have worked, all together."
