Come hell or high water Cardiff is set to deliver Europe’s leading rescue conference
European water, rope, boat and confined space rescue training experts, Rescue 3 Europe have chosen Cardiff to host their 2019 Technical Rescue Conference.

The conference and training event, which will take place in the International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay from 29 April to 3 May, highlights the pioneering work of the European rescue community and will bring together instructors and practitioners from over 25 different countries from across Europe to share best practice, new research and advancements in techniques.

Rescue 3 Europe produce and deliver state of the art training to fire and rescue services, ambulance teams, mountain rescue teams, and commercial training and leisure activity providers across Europe. 

Split across The Viola Arena, home of the Cardiff Devils ice hockey team and premier outdoor adventure centre Cardiff International White Water (CIWW), which features an Olympic standard white water rafting course, the conference will focus on updates to swift water and flood, boat, and rope rescue.

It will also include live weir rescue and drop test demonstrations, instructor updates, and a host of guest speakers - including a first-hand account of the Thailand cave rescue.
